Being 3!
I didn't realize how imperative it was for 3 year olds to have something to do all the time, but let me tell you...they MUST STAY BUSY! Or at least that is what Sam thinks should happen. Being the busybody he is, he is so happy that it is summer time and he can be outside. One of his favorite outdoor activities right now are bubbles. I have a feeling we will be keeping the bubble solution company in business this summer. Another one of his projects includes his rock collection. I have no idea where he got the idea for a rock collection, but he is serious about it. The collection mostly includes pieces of our driveway or dirt clots, but they are a treasure to him nonetheless. I am sure you will not be shocked to hear that he was the first one in Nana and Grandpa's pool. The pool had not even been open 24 hours and he was walking in with his clothes on. Let the summer shenanigans begin!
I also included a random picture of Sam in his "robot" costume. He saw Ethan's diaper box and said he wanted to be a robot (I think he got the idea from a Curious George cartoon). I love watching his imagination at work.

How time do fly!
Ethan will be 6 months old on Tuesday. Seriously??? Everyone always used to tell me that children grow up way to fast and I would roll my eyes. But they were of course right and there are moments that I wish I could pause or at least slow down. Since I can't do that, I want to at least write down things about him that we know and love.
Our little buddy started swinging in the back yard this week and he LOVES it. Almost as much as his older brother LOVES to push him. He also started sitting up some by himself. While he can't stay upright for too long, he is doing pretty well. As for rolling over, he consistantly rolls from his stomach to back, mostly because he hates tummy time with a passion. On the eating front, he is a big fan of veggies. I think he would eat peas or carrots over bananas any day. He is definitely not like his momma and brother with this.
While he is still a momma's boy, he doesn't mind going to other people and is quite a flirt with the ladies. He really likes to be thrown around, have people play peek-a-boo, etc. The more attention the better. Sometimes he will act shy and hide himself behind his hands (which are usually in his mouth) or his burp cloth (which is a normal part of his attire since he is still constantly spitting up). He doesn't seem to have a favorite toy yet, but he is quite fond of a blue knit blanket someone made for him. It looks like he will be attached to a blankie like Sam.
Our boys are so different, but one of the things that is similar is how chubby they were and are as babies. We have a similar picture of Sam's leg rolls in the exersaucer when he was a baby. Aaron and I sure know how to make some cute, chunky babes.
